Description
Louis XVI. This style’s decoration followed the influence of writers and thinkers of the time who brought simplicity, sensibility, love of nature and return to a simple life. Rustic motifs like: land working utensils, baskets with flowers, hearts and arrows, ribbons, garlands with leaves, musical instruments, oval shaped medallions, fire torches were mixed with beaded, greek friezes and ribbon details.
